Noble leather needs proper care
Real animal hide is made durable through tanning. The natural structure of real leather is largely retained during tanning.
Leather is a supple, tough, very durable and versatile material.
Leather is different after tanning, because real leather has different degrees of softness and structure during processing.
We RenasDreams differentiate between three types of leather:
Smooth leather:
Clothing leather buttery soft nappa leather
Split leather:
thick, harder, firm leather
Embossed leather:
Hammered look, thick leather
We recommend care instructions:
The best way to clean leather is with warm water and a damp cloth.
In the case of very stubborn dirt, it is also possible to use a mild soap or a special leather detergent.
Depending on how often it is worn, the leather should be treated with a leather grease once or twice a year. As a result, the article remains supple and the high-quality leather is cared for.
Leather items must not be washed with normal laundry or dried in a dryer. Do not put real leather in the washing machine, always use lukewarm hand wash.
Real leather should dry very slowly in normal air and not be wrung out after washing. Under no circumstances should it be placed in the sun or allowed to dry on a radiator or the like.
In the case of light soiling, a light, damp, absolutely clean cotton cloth with a little neutral soap and, above all, a little distilled water are usually sufficient for cleaning. Dab and don't rub too hard.
Please do not use normal tap water, because the lime it contains (please refer to your place of residence for the hardness of the water) can lead to unsightly limescale stains, which can then be removed with grease (e.g. perfume-free oil or milking fat).
Always store real leather in an absolutely dry and well-ventilated place. (no damp rooms or cellar storage), especially after wearing it on the body, allow it to air out so that body moisture can escape from the leather.
